MAC Problem

Hi...

I am having a problem in MAC Internet Explorer. Please find the attatched JPG file. The problem is that when ever i click on a link there apprears a GREEN Box around the link. The RED box is to spot the problem...

The site is working very fine in Windows internet explorer.

If any one has the solution, and want to share, then i will be very thankful.

Osman Mumtaz

Hey Osman,

is this happening with just the one web site or every site you go to. Post the link and I'll have a look and see if I get the same problem . Also, what version of Mac OS and IE are you using? And does the problem exist in Safari too?

Mark.

don't understand... "The RED box is to spot the problem..." u mean that u drew the box, right? do you mean that when u click on the link, nothing happens except for the green circle appearing?

provide the link and we'll check...

if i understand correctly, the green is just a mouseover action. you might have a problem because of the html coding for that page/site that is not compartible with mac ox explorer. It could also be a java issue, there is sun java and microsoft own java, you can try using sun java.

MAC Problem

I had this or a similar problem with IE for Mac. In my case it was solved by removing a PNG type image from the web page. For a client only situation the only answer I think is to switch to Safari or Firefox if you are using OS X or maybe Netscape for OS 9. I think IE for Mac is not going to be updated past version 5.2.

You're right, development on the Mac Internet Explorer stopped a while ago; but with Firefox and Safari around . You can search Google for more details if you want or view the confirmation on MacNN below.
