Hi All,

I am trying to install Norton SW 3.0.1 on Mac OS X panther. I had ver 2.0.1 of SW earlier which ended its subscription on 15th april.

i try to install new SW, and everything is fine until it gets to a point of liveupdate. Now this is whr it doesnt recognize my new SW and asks for a subscription key saying my sub ends on 15th.

new SW ver comes with a free sub of 1 yr so actually it shudnt be a problem!!!!

anyone has any idea?

Hello,

If you do the following it should help.

1) Go to Finder --> Find Then Search "Entire Hard Drive"
and find anything to do with Norton and move it all to the trash

Once this is done Reboot

Upon Start up Again Make sure their is nothing in the system by doing step one.

Then Try to install the new one again and that should do it for you.

If that doesnt work ask again, I will have a look around also to see what could cause a problem

If this is a legal copy then why dont you just email or phone Norton ? They should give you a quick answer!

I think you should be able to delete all the old Norton Files, then set your clock back,(genereally apps that have day timers, store a file in your Application suppor-delete this especially) Reinstall the program, update, and then try to change the clock forward.
