two things i miss:
s-video out ...
firewire 800 support

One thing though, why in hell's name include a remote? no chance on earth are you going to watch a movie from across the room on a 15" screen...

All i can think is music, and then that's limited use.

I think that it is going to take some time to catch on. In my personal opinion, "MacBook Pro" isn't a very great name - a bit long and a little on the tacky side.

No doubt that I'd have to agree that the remote might be a bit useless, but hey - some people be able to use it so why not include it.

Say "OSX Media Center" three times
Connect the video and audio to your TV and you've got the best DVD/DIVX/... -player I can think of.
I want one too...

Once hooked up to a TV i suppose it makes sense.

Apple said they wanted the name 'mac' in all their new products, and they want to lose 'power' because they want to lose powerpc.

The problem here is pricing, very few people will shell out that much to get one. I fear this will be somewhat of a flop

it's rumoured to be, but then again, it's not portable, and there's only really 5.1 surround sound they can add to it to improve it...
