Parallels released RC3
Parallels released RC3 . The program has been optimized for migrating to Vista.
Quote:
There's a lot of other different features included. For information check parallels official site. they claim that there will be better Vista support. We'll see. Maybe it's the reason for me to migrate to Vista from XP, who knows... |

On the other hand, they still haven't fixed the jerky mouse motion bug. I say fixed because their idea of a 'fix' is a windows patch so they don't have to fix their program, unfortunately that 'fix' only works for windows. idiots.

I'm beginning to like apps that work using Crossover and programs similar to that. It sucks booting up Windows and having it use 400MB of my memory.
VMWare is supposed to have a good graphics engine for their VM software. They are testing DirectX 8.1 now and are moving to DX9. Once that comes out, all the gamers should be happy. |

I think they have fixed this problem in their RC2, haven't they. I don't have this issue... In any case, they may do something about it in the following update. I heard that it is very soon to come. |

The main drawback about crossover is that it doesn't support all the windows apps. Running supported programs is okay, but there definitely will be problems when running the apps that are not in the supported list. VMware Fusion doesn't have 3d graphics support yet, as far as I know, as well as Parallels. Parallels announced that graphics support will be included in their upgrade, but, unfortunately they keep the date of release secret. In any case I doubt that gamers will be very happy: there's a big issue with RAM when running a VM. For me Parallels have always been a very good solution to run windows on my Mac. Dual booting annoys greatly, and crossover is not very reliable for me. Well, it's your own choice what apps to use when running windows programs on Mac... |

Just found out that Parallels released new update today(or maybe yesterday). Actually there has been no new features included (in comparison with their RC3 discussed in this topic).

Oh, I found an article in the net about Parallels, I think i'll post it here, no need to create a new topic for it! It is complimentary, of course http://lunapark6.com/parallels-desktop-for-mac.html |
