Recovering "permanently" deleted items?
I just got my first mac powerbook (tiger osx). I transfered like 10 gigs of songs over, and then itunes "copied them" so i thought i could delete the originals. they were in the trash and still played in itunes, so i thought it was safe to permanently delete. not so much luck lol... any way to recover them now?

You could try a recovery program of which there are a few, the problem being that these will set you back a nice bit of money. If you hit Secure Delete though you have an impossibility
.Can you not transfer the files over again? Or were they deleted too? Mark. |

If the files are ABSOLUTELY imperrative, you could send your hard drive to a physical data recovery center, but you're looking upwards of $500. As for recovery software, I don't think that'll do the trick. I think it has to be installed and monitoring at the time of the deletion to work. Although, there may be advanced drive sweeping suites out there.
