SubEthaEdit goes commercial
I know that several people here use SubEthaEdit for programming and was just wondering what you think to the recent change to licensing. Put simply: "No more handouts, if you want it you pay for it!".
I suppose it's reasonable but I wont do it .Then again, I don't know any other really good free editors for OSX so I guess I'll be sticking with emacs from now on. I use it for all my Lisp anyway, it's not as pretty though. Take care, Mark. |

TextWrangler is supposed to be good but it doesn’t have as clean an interface and generally feels a little clunky. Then again emacs is waaaay bigger than I would like.
Smultron looks interesting but it's not very flexible; from what I can see custom highlighting is out. I'll have to check out its docs .The search continues! Edit: why is it all the really nice editors cost money. TextMate looks very good but I'm not going to pay for it .Mark. |
