Trouble installing Virtual PC for Xp Pro on a Mac

Hi guys/gals,

I know very little regarding Mac's - have only really used them for graphic work. But I've been asked to install Virtual PC on a Mac. I was thinking it would be straightforward but it's not.

I installed the first part successfully, but then on reboot it mentioned two security errors in the startup folder and asked if I wanted to fix them, which I did. After that it rebooted, but never went to the next phase of the installation. I've repeated that around 4 times to no avail ? So I'm wondering how I should proceed....completely uninstalling the application and then starting again, or is there a way to jump start to the next level of the installation.

Cheers,

Nathan

what model Mac is it? i don't think VPC would work on an Intel based mac (any of the new ones), and even if it did you wouldn't want it (use parallels instead, or dual boot)

if it has a G3/G4/G5 processor, then are you sure it wasn't successful, have you tried running the application in the Applications folder? if your sure it wasn't successful then i would make sure you have the latest version of VPC, the security warning should never happen (it means some files were improperly installed, which means either an old installer or an incomplete install), i would recommend attempting an uninstall and then try installing again
