Where have you been? google tells me Allegro is a game programing library, and if thats really what you want that then you don't want to set a pixel value, especially at a specific location on the screen. Instead you tell the video card what your doing and it does everything, the game libs should make it easier to work with.
Also, the Mac forums are for Mac specific things, and this is not at all, its Linux on Mac hardware, so you probably want the linux forum if its OS specific, otherwise the C forum for your C/C++ programming questions.
