I need help!!!!I have a IMac G3 and i have some huge problem! I cant figure out how to update my 8,5 system to OS X or lesser! i have tryed every thin'!!! Why dosent it work! Ive downloaded updates .bin files but the mac cant open 'em Ive downloaded the Mac os 9 a toast file! that i cant open either!!!! I'm very new in this Mac world! in fact its my first! why dosent it work??? Why cant i open the files! should i have a program to use the files?? PLZ help me! im going out of my mind!!!! ![]() |

The amount of people that don't read these is truly astounding and to be fair an iMac G3 is RIGHT near the bottom of supported models...I personally think it's too low powered. If it does then nip off to your local Apple store buy a copy of Tiger and insert the cd. Follow the instructions and HEY Presto...done! To go to a lower version of Mac OS you'll need "Toast CD Burning Software" to open the toast image of Mac OS9 that you downloaded illegally. Finally DMG files won't operate on the exsisting file system you have. You need OSX for that. |
