Using Microsoft Entourage as default "address book"
I'd prefer to use entourage over 'address book,' but the problem is other mac programs such as iChat interface directly with the address book. I'd like to use entourage but also have it so that when I add someone on iChat, it adds it to entourage system, not to the address book. Please let me know if it works this way, or if there is a way to as soon as possible. Thanks.

I don't think this is possible, unless the option is available in the programs preferences. Address Book has a different API to Entourage, which is the main reason I don't think it can be done this way. You should be able to write an Applescript to add the contacts to the appropriate program though

You mean an applescript that would take any change I make in "address book" through ichat and add it / update it to entourage as well? Any help on that? (like i said new to mac). Thanks! |

I think you can also make an automator script to do that as well, (assuming you're running tiger) |
