Windows users unable to open my Photoshop jpeg files

I am working in Photoshop CS and saving jpegs for a client who uses Windows--and is unable to open my files. I am saving the jpegs as RGB Baseline (Standard) without an embedded color profile at a medium compression. I have also tried saving it without a preview in hopes it would help--but it didn't.

Is there a certain way I need to save my files so the Windows user can open them? If anyone has had this same problem and has figured out how to solve it, I would appreciate the help.

thanks!
katie

What version of Photoshop are you using and what is your client trying to open the file with?

Anyway, you might want to check the format your saving the image as since I think jpeg and jpg may be different; not 100% on that one . Also try saving the image for the web, this should eliminate any compatibility problems .

Let us know how it goes,

Mark.

Thank you very much! That solved my problem. (jpg and jpegs are the same thing. "jpg" is just how it is put at the end of a file name.)

thanks again, I appreciate the help.
Katie

No problem at all. Just couldn't remember if there was a jpeg and jpg in the save-as-type menu, and since I don't have Photoshop right now it wasn't something I could check out .

Glad you got it working anyway,

Mark.
