Yes, Windows Media Player is available for MacOSX.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/software/Macintosh/osx/default.aspx Although, I would recommend that you request that these movies be released in Apple's Quicktime format in addition to WMV. |

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any WMV -> AVI Converters.
I do think you'd be better off saving your content as a Quicktime Movie. Apple has released a Quicktime player for Windows and Quicktime Pro (only $30 and apparently available under Windows as well) can export to AVI. http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/ http://www.apple.com/quicktime/upgrade/ |

It's possible for users to play wmv files, I have quite a few of these laying around on my computer. Usually music, which won't play in iTunes so I tend to use VLC quite a bit–this can handle pretty much every media type you might want to play with and it's free!
The problem is that it means downloading the player so probably won't help much with this problem. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html Mark. |
