in my office, we receive mails through a provider. now we want the mails to come to our server first so that each computer on the network pull his or her mail from our in-house server. how can i configure the server.
pls steps and pointers needed
ps: our server is running on small business server 2007

You have to register the desired domain name.
You have to make the necessary DNS entries identifying your mail server
You need an ISP that allows you to run a mail server on your internet connection
You need to decide what mail server software application you want to use.
You should have a backup smtp server for your domain
You need to make sure the necessary tcp ports for mail are open through any firewalls

I think you need proper access of configure server with proper email archiving that may help you to store, retrieve and filtering emails with right way.
