Unhappy Email server connection problem

Hello,

In our small corporate LAN, 2 of the 5 PCs connected in the local domain can not connect to the email server even if surely the email server name is correct. The following error occur. The host ´65.108.212.161´could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: '65.108.212.161´, Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
When I try the command:
telnet 65.108.212.161 110
it does not work with those PCs.
Furthermore I wanted to mention that those PCs have a dynamic IP.

Thank you in advance you for your help !!!

with telnet

do you have any firewall ?

is it your own pop server ?

is it trying to connect to pop server on smtp port ?
I see there is a smtp server at that IP, but it wont like it if you talk POP to it ...

Unhappy

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

There is no firewall and the pop server is not mine.
It is very strange because there is an internet connection but I can't send or receive mails.

This problem does not occur with any PC that is outside of the network. So I think that it is a network problem.

I 'll try to put static IPs to the machines
