exchange trouble.help save my bacon
I have setup exchange mailboxes so that users can get inbound email - no problems at all.
when they reply on their emails in outlook, exchange sends them an email back saying that it was unable to find a route to deliver the email out to the internet. i know that it's something to do with these "SMTP connectors" which are just like gateway addresses on TCPIP ie: it's the "next hop" in the route for transporting email messages. windows 2003 server with outlook clients. any help will be much appreciated alan |

Do you have your mail server set up to route * and have it listed as a Virtual Server? Check under Protocols, SMTP, and see if your mail server is listed with its own IP address. Check those tabs, I bet that is the issue.
If you use the connectors, be sure to put [brackets] around the ip addresses you use. |
