Forwarding e-mail of 2 accounts to another machine at a diff location?
Hello all,
Ok. Currently, I live in the same house with my parents. I have a server here which is our web, mail, file, etc server. I use sendmail.
I am moving to a new house, and I will be taking the server there. What I would like to know is this. My father would like to still get his e-mail from locally on the LAN like he does now. Obviously, if I move the server to the new house, he will be getting it remotely by connecting to the server there, and that is what he would like to avoid.
Is it possible to build a new machine for this house and have e-mails that are sent to HIS address be forwarded from the current server (which will be in the new house) to the new machine built here?
What I mean is this. Currently, e-mails are sent to any one family member here: john, chris, nancy, sam, jonathan. But, I now move the server to the new house. John and Nancy remain here. I would like the server in the new house send THEIR e-mails to another machine that I will build here, so that when they check their e-mail, it is actually looking at the new machine here (since THAT is where their mail will end up) instead of going across the web to access the server at my new house.
Is this possible (I'm sure it is), and how do I do it?
Thanks!
Chris
