getting qmail to forward outgoing to mail to another host

Is there a way to get qmail to foward all outgoing email to another host like an IMAIL server?

Also, I have just finished setting up my first qmail server with 4 virtual domains and relay-ctrl setup. I am alittle confused about the rcpthosts file. Is this the file which specifies who mail can be sent to? Also, if this is the case how would you configure qmail to allow authenticated users to send email to anyone without removing the rcpthosts file?

Thanks,
Adam

Sounds like you need to look at relaying...

http://www.palomine.net/qmail/relaying.html

If you don't want to try these, you should look at getting a qmail howto that covers relaying for your users after they authenticate with POP3. This is also known as POP before SMTP.

If you remove the rcpthosts file or leave it empty, you will become an open relay and you will draw spammers like flies to a turd. In the rcpthosts file, you should list all the domains that you want to receive mail for. See the link I mentioned for further explanation of this.
