How do I set up Mail on a Win 2003 Server?
Hi,
I purchased a dedicated box running Windows 2003 Server (standard edition). It's going to be running IIS, PHP, and MySQL. I'm running _NO_ control panel on it, since it's going to be for personal use and friends. What do I have to do to get sending/receiving of mail working on the machine? I'm going to be having more than one domain on the box - for example, there will be probaly 4 domains on one IP. I'd like each domain (domain1.com, domain2.com, etc) to have their own e-mail addresses that I could setup. How exactly do you do this on Windows 2003 Server? I only know how in Linux/FreeBSD. Thanks. |

How about Exchange Server 2003? There may be some free software out there, but I wouldn't know about any for Windows. If my memory serves me correctly, there's built-in POP3 for Windows 2003 Server Family. Open the Add/Remove Windows Components panel and you should see it in that list. Since you have IIS install,ed I assume you have SMTP installed as well.
I've never used it -- always used Exchange... |
