My ISP blocked my port 25

Is there any way to setup a mail server?

But the relay mail servers will still connect to me through port 25 after looking to the MX records, right?

Is there any alternative other than the use of those "Reflector" services?

It truely Suck$ when the ISP does this.

So, YES, you will need a re-director to handle mail. Basically they will scoop email requests and forward them to your server on an alt. port.

I haven't used www.noip.com redirect service, but I use them for hosting a number of my one-off sites and they are GREAT.

GooD up time and they really do respond to trouble tickets.

Sorry to have to say but usually they only do that if you are a spammer (in which case you deserve it) or a huge P2P user. Then again you could be a victim to an open relay exploit. If the latter is true they will open it up again once you prove the vulnerability is closed.

Send a message via AIM to avitar.net
if you have your own name server and domain (domain.com) and you provide forward and reverse mapping for:

1 MX record for domain.com
1 A record for domain.com
2 NS record for domain.com
1 A record for mail.domain.com
1 MX record for mail.domain.com

...it will usually go through. Double check your setup... If you use BIND you can set up your forward zone files via my site painlessly. http://www.avitar.net/tools

You can also try calling your ISP....

Finnally you should switch ISP's if they contiue to block you and you tried the first 2 options.
