Name server timeout
I am getting mail sent from my Linux box returned to me with the error "Name server timeout". The probelm seems to be that ntlworld.com does not resolve, but www.ntlworld does. ntlworld.com does have an MX record, so not sure why my machine is trying to resolve ntlworld.com. Shouldn't sendmail be looking for the MX record? Any help appreciated!

Your local DNS resolver seems to be having difficulties resolving DNS for ntlworld.com.
Try the following at the command line: Code:
dig mx ntlworld.com
