I'm uppgrading my server, and everything works except incoming email. This is probably due to something I've missed during the configuration.
My server runs linux and I've done the following: - Given it the same name as the old one - Given it the same IP - Installed SMTP an IMAP, and postfix as the MTA - Opened up for SMTP and POP3 in the firewall - Activated pop3 service under xinetd Is there anything else I need to do? I can send email without any problem, but incoming mail don't get delivered. |

No, I was just checking,
If you have an MX record set for your server, but it hasn't propagated, then you won't recieve mail. I just making sure you had done that since it wasn't on your list of completed items. If you set your smtpout to your ISP then you can send email. You are routing thru them. |
