Postfix > ssmtp for Gmail outbound
I run a postfix2.6 server that pretty much serves as a gateway mail server for various servers and systems which page out to vmail.com (Verizon email SMS). I relay out through a local ISP. We moved to Google Apps Enterprise recently, and I have to get the server to do AuthSSL with TLS.
I managed to use sasl2 and get the TLS part working, but am having a beastly time getting the autentication to work.
I am looking for a work-around. SSMTP comes to my attention. Can anyone explain how I might use ssmtp, instead of smtp, to send mail out from my postfix mail system?
I still want all of the management and queuing mechanisms offered by postfix.
