Question qmailadmin errors - help!

Let me start off by saying that I've googled this for the last few days and came across a lot of documents that all say the same thing, but in different words. They also all assume that everything works in the first go at it. I've searched this forum for everything related to qmail and I couldn't find anything related so I am going to ask my question.

When I try to add a new domain I get the following error:

[root@web mindsquad.com]# /home/vpopmail/bin/vadddomain mindsquad.com test
Incorrectly built binary which accesses errno, h_errno or _res directly. Needs to be fixed.

And when I go to my /cgi-bin/qmailadmin to try to login to mindsquad.com using test as a password, it says invalid login.

Any ideas?

What operating system/distribution/version are you on?

What version of glibc are you running?

Have you upgraded any packages from the versions that shipped with your operating system?

I'm on RedHat 9, and I've actually checked out www.qmailrocks.org and they have a complete tutorial of how to install this, including patches for us RH9 people... so far so good... we'll see how it all turns out.

Thanks!

I too am using Redhat 9. I got through the instructions fine, until I came to:

Quote:
Redhat 9 Users: You will need to patch qmail with an additional errno patch:

patch < /path/to/qmailrocks/patches/qmail-1.03.errno.patch

At this point, I am told that the patch can't open a file on line 4.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

CC

Are you following the qmailrocks.org installation? If you are, sign up for their mailing list, and people on the list can reply back via email... they would be able to answer it, i can't..

Hey mindsquad. My problem was that I did not perform the vi commands correctly. Got it this time; thanks!
