Sendmail - can't send external mail
New to this, Can send/recieve internal mail. Cannot send external mail.
ie. (reason:550 Host unknown) Host unknown (Name server: XXX@XXX.XX:host not found) 451 4.0.0 hash map "alia0":missing map file /etc/aliases.db:no such file or directory Thanks for any help I could get. |

What package are you working with? did you complete the install,
Please give more Detail: System, OS, email sever package, what have you done... Quote:
relates to :: 550 Host unknown (Authoritative answer from name server) Did you set up an MX record? is your DNS set for MX or are you using a service\ISP for routing. Most likely you have installed an email server, it plays nice in your sandbox because the routing is all internal and your router is sending email to everyone just fine. But, when you step into the Internet you need to tell the rest of the email servers on the 'net that you exist, what your address is and that will allow you to send\recieve in the wild.
