Sendmail, not allowing connections in to check email
Hi all,
A new Fedora2 server, latest updates/installs for all Trying to setup sendmail and have this problem; (Using Webmin, btw) Sendmail version 8.12.11, config V10/Berkeley Installed and running with no problem Getting it to work is another matter LOL Sendmail is accepting email for a test user I set up Sendmail is NOT allowing the user to log on and get said mail from a remote computer. Instead it gives a 'refused connection' message. I know its something simple no doubt, but please help. How do I troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance! 2nats AT plastics.com |

How, exactly, is this user trying to log on and get their mail?
Sendmail does not expose a POP or IMAP interface (indeed, it does not even have them); you have to use another program like ipop or Courier IMAP to allow remote retrieval of email. Colin
