Sendmail to MSexchange server on same network.
Hello,

I have sendmail installed on a FreeBSD 4.9 box. I can send email to yahoo and hotmail accounts but I can't send anything to my Exchange server.

/var/log/Mail.log alway's shows user unknown.

Any idea's?

I failed to say that the exchange server and FreeBSD box are on the same network.

I tried to send mail from my FreeBSD box at home to my work email server and it worked fine.

any idea's????

hi,
if it says user unknown it might be the DNS problem for your local network.
