Setting up Postfix
Postfix says that outa the box I t should be steup to connect to even w/ no mailboxes etc.
################ ### Where I am at ### ################# I have my mailserver/webserver/dns etc on 192.168.0.61 Router at 192.168.0.1 (D-Link 604) -virtual servered everything to 192.168.0.61 (DNS / Webserver / FTP - Working perfect.) Created DNS entries for mail.digitalinsights.biz and mail.topsitesweb.com both are pingable so dns is working. ############ ### Postfix ### ############ I understand how to create mailboxes without doing the unix users by creating virtual mailbox domain setups. However I can't figure out why I cannot connect via telnet to the mail server On a windows system on the same local network ( 192.168.0.55) I open telnet, and punch in open 192.168.0.61 110 It can't connect, even open mail.digitalinsights.biz 110 can't connect. Also when I do a service -f postfix It says it started [OK] So hmmph... Even using the original main.cf Ideas? |

Perhaps because Postfix is listening on port 25, not 110, since it's SMTP not POP3.
