SMTP protocol

Well, I have my own mail server. However, I want to run a mail server on my other computer.

I was wondering if it was wise to change the SMTP port? This way the ports don't conflict in the router.

Thanks,

how would they conflict if they are on 2 separate machines ? Different IP, same port. Change it if you like, and its not for public use, i.e. only you or people whose PCs you set up/advise will be using it.
