Strange Squirrelmail problem
Hello all,
I recently ahd to re-install Linux (RH7.3) due to a system crash. I was able to recover all of the old config files for sendmail, squirrelmail data, etc. Squirrelmail appears to be receiving mail just fine, howeer when users compose mail and attempt to send mail, the same "compose mail" screen simply re-appears. I have checked logs and found nothing. There are no errors in maillog, nor in messages. I have verified that both IMAP and Sendmail are installed. I can also send mail from the command line without problems. Just curious if anyone has had similar problems or if anyone could offer suggestions? Thanks, Chris Wells chris@fusion-hosting.net |

If the mail works from cmdln, then it works. Try reinstalling squirellmail.

Also, check if you have\had plugins installed for squirrelmail. If you have set users up to use Vlogin or HTML for composition then the compatibility plugin is req.
You may need to install\re-install a plugin, like the compatibility plugin. If you recovered from a crash, you may have stub plugin info in your .conf file and they aren't\weren't installed on your rebuild. This maybe a cause for your errant mail operation. hth...Frog
