telnet localhost 25 hangs, broken pipe.
I'm having problems with setting up qmail (on RHEL3):
When I telnet localhost 25, it just hangs: [root@localhost /]# telnet localhost 25 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1). Escape character is '^]'. Also, I'm using SqMail, and when I try to set the SMTP auth mode, it tells me there is a "broken pipe". By the way, port 25 is not blocked. Any ideas? |

Is QMAIL running? What tutorial did you use? Did you remove\disable Postfix ( active by default on most current RH installs)? can you telnet 110 in? So many questions...Let us know so we can help you.

I thought I answered this before. Hmm.
Anyway, it's not hung, it's waiting for input. |
