Viruses and mail servers
Hi, I was just wondering if a virus could damage my mailserver if it's in an email?
I imagine lots of emails is flying around going through smtp and pop accounts and mail servers not being effected. Is this correct? Like if a virus is sent via a clients account could it somehow infect my server or would the mail server be ok and the recipient just has to worry about the downloaded virus? Also is anti virus for mail servers mostly for the protection of the clients accounts - so they don't download the nasties? Thanks in advance. |

Hey, about MDaemon, itīs a great secure email server, but I donīt the connection/usage benefit I get from it. The computer becomes too slow with it on with only a couple of emails so imagine a large host will never use that. So I found out that If I had Norton and Mercury on there it would be Faster and more "up to date", at least they make believe we are.
Windows sucks online, well Iīm about to switch everything over to linux so wish me luck. Peace
