    Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

    Hey;

    Just got screwed by comcast - they blocked port 25 w/o any kind of notice, rat fink $%^&. After a day of research, I got some additional services from noip which are now allowing me to send/receive email from all the various clients except the centos box itself.

    On that one, I'm getting connection refused messages:

    Code:
    $ sendmail -v dkoleary@olearycomputers.com << eof
    > Subject: direct from sendmail
    > eof
    dkoleary@olearycomputers.com... Connecting to [127.0.0.1] via relay...
    dkoleary@olearycomputers.com... Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]
    The mail log entry for that particular call is:

    Code:
    Mar 10 19:13:32 fw sendmail[1939]: r2B0DW8R001939: from=dkoleary, size=30, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<201303110013.r2B0DW8R001939@fw.olearycomputers.com>, relay=dkoleary@localhost
    Mar 10 19:13:32 fw sendmail[1939]: r2B0DW8R001939: to=dkoleary@olearycomputers.com, ctladdr=dkoleary (500/110), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=30030, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]
    This was all working before comcast decided to screw the pooch. I have appropriate entries in local-host-names and access files:

    Code:
    $ cat local\-host\-names
    localhost
    olearycomputers.com
    fw
    fw.olearycomputers.com

    $ grep -v ^# access
    Connect:localhost.localdomain           RELAY
    Connect:localhost                             RELAY
    Connect:127.0.0.1                             RELAY
    Connect:olearycomputers.com           RELAY
    Connect:192.168.12                          RELAY
    I even tried remaking the access map to no avail. Anyone have an idea what I'm missing?

    Thanks for any hints/tips/suggestions.

    Can you try running:

    PHP Code:
    netstat -tan grep 25
    It seems like sendmail is not configured to listen on localhost

    It could als be that it's set to not allowing relay without authenticating.
