    Question Maildir Help!

    I'm confused I've read lots of articles and manuals ...

    I'm trying to use mutt to read mails, postfix to send and mbsync to retrieve.

    I've had limited success with these separately. My stratagem has been to do this like tightening nuts on a tire. E.G. Get some working on each one and circle.
    I have about email 10 accounts. Several Zoho mail and several gmail.

    I can send mail through zoho accounts but not gmail yet with mailx. I can retrieve email through mbsync; although I've only tried gmail and only one account so far.

    What I don't understand how to use the Maildir format for my accounts.

    I understand the unextended version has 3 subdirectories cur, tmp, and new; Although I'm not sure what is stored in each one.

    I have currently have the below. Inbox has all there cur, new, tmp

    I've set mutt's spool directory just to the gmail Inbox directory.

    Do I need to have gmail1/Sent etc...?

    I'm really not sure how to equate the normal Inbox, Outbox, Trash, Sent, Spam boxes under that.
    Nor am I sure how to do multiple accounts with mutt.

    Also, Postfix's virtual mail looks sorta like what I want but the postfix documentation is more concerned with a more admin like environment.
    Where each user has an account and you are running a mail server.

    Currently, I'm only using the below relay map to send. I've got no mailbox settings in Postfix. Does it need any, in my use case?

    sender_dependent_relayhost_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_relay

    Thanks for any help,
