    configure apache 2 to parse wml pages

    Hi,

    I have added these lines to apache2 httpd.conf file.

    #MIME types for WAP

    #For normal WML pages
    AddType text/vnd.wap.wml .wml

    #For WML embedded graphics
    AddType image/vnd.wap.wbmp .wbmp

    #End MIME types for WAP

    But when i try to open a wml page the browser asks me wether i want to download the page instead of showing the contents of the page. The wap browser i use is yourWAP wireless companion. I am using windows XP.Plz help me.
    Here is my wml code.

    <wml>
    <!-- begin card -->
    <card>
    <do type="accept">
    <go href="#card2"/>
    </do>
    <p>
    This is the first card.
    Press OK to go to the second card.
    </p>
    </card>
    <!-- begin card -->
    <card id="card2">
    <p>
    This is the second card.
    </p>
    </card>

    </wml>

    Thanks in advance,
    chamal.

    Several problems here

    First, get rid of the AddType directives. Those MIME types are already set correctly in mime.conf, and you don't need to set them again.

    Second, your WML files look fine, except, remember, WML is a subset of XML, and your XML files are missing something:

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE wml PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD WML 1.1//EN"
    "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/wml_1.1.xml">
    This should be the very first part of your wml file. Otherwise it is not properly identified as an XML file, and so your emulator isn't parsing it and can only save it for some other program.

    Also, I think the id attribute is required for the card object. You might want to check on that.

    Or you can skip all of these problems and just do the whole thing automatically: http://chiralsoftware.net/products.html
