SMS - Kannel connection between SMSC and an ESME

Hie,

I am a newbie to using Kannel. I would like to use Kannel as an SMS gateway
between an SMPP SMSC and an ESME so that SMSes can be send between my
network and other networks via the ESME. I have looked at the user guide and
managed to configure the connection between the SMSC and my machine on which
Kannel is running. There are a couple of things I dont understand though:

1. How do I now connect my Kannel gateway to an ESME (the ESME that will
route my messages to other network operators)?

2. Once that is done, how to do I configure the routing for my SMSes? I will
need to configure the inbound and outbound routing for my messages between
the three entities.

I am still finding my feet with Kannel and would appreciate your help!
