Question Where to start in mobile programming?

I'm going back to school and I want to get into mobile programming (I think we'll all be using our phones as computers someday!)
Im having a hard time figuring out which languages I should learn first.
Would it be best to learn C, CPP, etc? Which one? Would a start in C be best as an intro?
I also wondered where to learn additional languages that are strictly focused on mobile. (python, brew, java micro, java me, etc.)
Colleges seem to focus on computer programming or networking, with no mobile programming classes available.
Are these just something you have to buy a book for and teach yourself?
Thanks so much for any suggestions on which way to go. I'd love to hear how everyone else go started.
    Thanks!
