How to send SMS from my own database automatically
I am working on a project to guide blind students within the campus. For this, I have used WiFi Tags. Students carries the Tags and Tags scans the access points at some arbitrary locations. The present location information is fingerprinted on the building map. This map is either in the server or in the cloud database. Depending on the present location, the server has to respond to the student's mobile regarding his next step - in which direction student has to go. This message is audio message to the student. Can you pls help me out regarding how to send audio message from the Server to the Student's mobile? Server may be the laptop.

This is a common question. To dirrectly send SMS from a computer requires an SMS gateway which is very expensive services. I usually take the poormans approach and send emails to the phone. Most cell providers have an email for each phone that will send as a text message

There are so called two way SMS Gateway. They can do Email to SMS and SMS to Email. As a reference you could check them out eg. this one: ozekisms.com/page226. It tells you how to set up an E-mail to SMS Gateway. Hope you will find it useful.

There are lot of software that lets you easily compose and send text messages from your computer. As a gateway they will either use your mobile phone or a net setter (dongal).
