3 beeps at start up
HELP!!!i have just built a new computer with a asrock k7s8x and a amd xp2600+ 333fsb 70gig maxstare hdd the problem is when i power up i get 3beeps then a 2second gap then 3 beeps and it wont go any further than that i have changed the memory and downgraded it from ddr400 to ddr333 all the memory works fine in my mates computer.
please help be four it goes out of the window

well 3 beeps if its ami bios means base 64k ram failure
sorry dont know how to correct it but i would remove memory clean edges and chck tha there no ?dust fluff in the board mem housing slot the on boot up go straight to bios cmos and load defaualts and see if there is a setting to change to suit your new memory oh and of course check a cuple of memory sites to make sure the mem is compatible with yooour motheeboard just a newbie but may be worth a try bfore the big guyz come with all the hitech answrs regads

thanks for your help but still no luck i have also changed the graphics card culd it be my mother board
