I just received this computer. I have an Asus P5ND2-SLI motherboard. It beeps five times and I get no video. Everything (monitor, cables, and computer) is new and I don't have back ups to check it with. Beeps seems to be 2 beeps in quick succession then 3 more quick beeps. I've tried removing the RAM and reinserting, taking out non essentials, checking connections etc. All fans and HDD seems to work and make noise. Please help

To check the components, it would be handy if you could swap them into another machine. But, to be honest, with 5 quick beeps it sounds like CPU failure to me - but I would rather check put the components first.

this in regards to buzzbomb have you tried new ram chips for your motherboard because about 40% of the time that is why the video does not come up.IF that does help try a new video card.because i just built a 633mghz compaq presario and for a while i could not figure out what was rong i had the same problem as you 2fast beeps then a pause and then 3more fast beeps i treid to remove all not needed parts but still nothing and then i said f$$k it i got a new 250mb elixar ram chip and bam it worked give it a shot>
