Question Abit at7 and Athlon 2500+

I recently put together a computer containing an Abit AT7 (the original one) and put an Athlon 2500+ in as the brain. On first boot up the new machines bios flashed 500Mhz Clock and 100Mhz FSB, when in to change it and the highest chip I can choose is a 1800+, but that one dosen't work, bios pops up with some warning message, so I change it to the next highest 1600+ at 133 FSB, works perfect. Why can't I choose 2500+ at 333 FSB like I bought everything for? Been on an endless search for Bios updates, and nothing seems to work, please have mercy on my soul.

Lance

You need to flash the BIOS. The original didn't support CPU's that fast.

This Google search got me this result.

Have you ever flashed a BIOS before?
