Now, front side bus is the route between the proceser and your memory, correct? Will this jump (from 400 mhz to 1066 mhz) help me with the gaming side of this upcoming computer?
For memory it says it supports Dual channel DDR2 533/400. I see 750 mhz models out there. Does this mean I cant use 750 mhz memory?
And whats this I see when looking at processors, talks about socket #`s. Whats this all about?
Is there anything else I need to consider?
Thanks for any clarification. |
good job, building a computer is WAY more satisfing... have a look at the DFI lanparty also, its a good gaming board with lots of ocerclocking potential.
not sure bout the other stuff, but socket# refers to the cpu. AMD, intel have different sockets for different cpus. make sure when u get a mobo u find out its socket and that the cpu yer looking at matches it. on the a64 side, the best way to go is the 939 socket, its pretty much gonna be the path to take 64 bit wise, not sure which intel sockets are good though.
