ABIT IC7-G motherboard powers on but does NOT boot, HELP?

Hi

My abit ic7 g mb powers on but does not boot, all i get is a blank screen on the monitor, and i DO NOT hear any beeps

i have tried all my components (ie cpu, ram, graphic card etc) on another abit ic7 g mb AND they all are working fine.

iv also tried the basic stuff of clear the CMOS, moving jumpers and remove battery etc still NO luck

could it be that the bios is corrput, if so how would i resolve this problem?

ANY SUGGESTIONS ... other then buying a new mb ???

Hi thegame05 and welcome to Dev Shed.

Can you get into your BIOS as it stands or can't you even get that far ? Flashing a BIOS can be difficult to do when you can't get into Windows, but to attempt it, we would need to make sure that you can get into the BIOS to ensure that you can boot from CD.

Although, to be honest, I think these efforts may be wasted and that you will need to buy a new motherboard, sorry.

NO i cannot get into the bios...

all that happens when i press the power button is that the mb led light turns from green to red, all the fans start spinnig the cd-rom light start flashing and no light or noise from the floppy disk.

as mention the monitor screen is blank and i dont hear any deeps

i hv tried taking everything apart and putting them back 1 by 1 still no luck ...and i do not hear any deeps

any other suggestion

Unfortunately no, I think you are going to have to replace the motherboard.

in terms of new mb what would u recommed for a replace of the ABIT IC7 G. A cheap replace would be ideal. (inte p4 soket 478)

Nope, i'm afraid not. Sounds like your motherboard has fried.

Yeah, that motherboard seems ok, only thing is it's Micro ATX. Wouldn't you be better off with just an ATX mobo ? Other than that, seems good value.
