ASUS A8NSLI hangs on boot
I just took delivery of a new computer with an Asus A8NSLI board, Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO,Athlon64 3200 S939,
assembled and tested. I plugged in a keyboard and mouse (both PS2) and a monitor and switched it on. It report CMOS checksum error - loading defaults. Then it went into the device detection routine and detected nearly a screenfull and then hung on the acpi controller. The whole machine hung. Can't do anything with it. Switch off and switch on again and it doesn't give the checksum error message but it always hangs on device detection in the same place. I've got no ideas. I'll welcome any suggestions. regards, ab |

Does it give you an error message or just hang on detection ? Double check all connections inside the case.
Personally - if this is a new computer I would return it. It's obviously not been tested as they claim it has been. |
