Asus K8V-MX (OEM) Bios Lock Down

Hi all,

I recently purchased a MESH pc with the Asus K8V-MX motherboard. It has the capability of SATA & RAID.

I have installed two SATA drives, have windows running on one of them and the other is blank. I am ready to enable RAID-1 (Mirroring)

However I cannot enter the RAID setup utility at boot up stage. Mesh have told me that this is because the OEM version of the mobo does not have the RAID enabled. This does not sound right.....

My other problem is that the bios flash utility, normally shown on boto up, is not shown. So I'm not sure how to flash a new bios onto my mobo.

Another issue I have is that this motherboard is not listed on the asus website, and the support requires the serial number and as I donlt have the original box am not sure how to get this...will it be on the mobo itself?

You don't need RAID to use these drives.
