Will a 4X card work in a 8x slot,I have a Ausus P4P800S with a 8x slot needing a card that can run at 1.5 or 0.8 volts, I have a Ati 7500 4x card,and a geoforce2 MMX400 will they run in a 8x slot

They should, but its not always a sure thing. Try it out, it won't damage anything.

Slots: 1x AGP 8X/4X, 5x PCI, 1x Wi-Fi the 8x is also 4x backwards compatible. |

You may need to remove the old video drivers before they work (ati and nVidia drivers don't play nice together).
Its also possible they just won't work. Theoretical compatibility doesn't always translate into actual results ![]() As always, try updating the bios and check all your connections |

Also go through the normal troubleshooting routine, strip the computer down to its essentials and try swapping as many parts as possible. It could be the mobo is bad, if its new, return it if you can. |
