ASUS p4pe max size harddisk?

Does anyone know if ASUS P4PE motherboard has any upper limits of harddisk size supported? I have installed the latest BIOS version 1007 and I'm using WIN2K SP4. I have installed a new HD WesternDigita 200GB, splitted intor 6 partitions, but my testing software shows a disk size of 132GB.
All information stored on the last patitions have beed interrupted and set to max size 16Kb

I don't know why you would have a barrier at 132gb, but you could try http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/iaa/ , just to be sure you have drivers and such that support a disk of the size you have.
Also, what file system are you using?

Hi Dave, I have downloaded all the latest drivers I can find from ASUS related to my motherboard, but I'll give it a try with the drivers form Intel. The recently installed harddisk is for storage only. File system is NFTS - had the same problems with FAT32, which I originally set the disk up with.

Also, be sure you have all the updates and such for windows. I know XP had a 132gb problem, fixed in SP1. Just be sure something similar isn't your problem.

Have checked. Windows2000 had a 132GB problem, but that is fixed in SP4. This was informed by the shop before I bought my new disk. I've also checked if XP would fix my problem, but no...
Can the problem be connected to the HDD divers? I've downloaded the latest, I think. After installing procedure, I can't see any difference in driver description, version, date and so on. Have also tried Windows Update to see if something happens

Do you have the latest BIOS update? I wouldn't have expected that to be the problem, but its worth a try.

Yes, the very latest released and/or Beta version. For my motherboard that will be version 1007.
I suspect the drivers to be the problem. When I check the driver information for the motherboard chipset (Intel 845 chipset) they are dated 2002. I guess the 132 GB problems was solved at a later date??
Here is a link to Asus P4PE motherboard: URL
-----------------------------------------------------------
Cause of my problems are hopefully identified
It was there in the first reply to my question, but I did not discover it. If I had followed and read the link given I would found this: URL. I'm using my large HDD as secondary drive and installed Intel Application Accelerator on this. Intels AA shall always be installed on the bootable disk, and if you are using Western Digital large HDD Intel AA version 2.3 or higher is recommended to use.
Thanks to all for response and ues of Your time - Or in Norwegian: TUSEN TAKK FOR HJELPEN

Ingo
