ATX Power Supplys
ATX power supplys with the 4pin 12v connector what are those for?
Have a Celeron proc. mb. old one had 4pin 12v Power supply died. Tried an old one without the 12v 4pin and it doesn't work. That 4pin connector required? or can I wire the old connector into the new power supply. |

The 4 pin (black & yellow) connector is the CPU power lead...
What you can do is get a power supply that has the lead or you can get an adapter that converts the typical 5 pin flat power lead into the 4 pin CPU modular connector Get the adapter here |
