the problem with my computer is that whenever i turn it on, it tries to load up, at first even the desktop came up but then all the sudden the monitor would turn off, fan off automatically, but power light still on so i would have to hold the power button for 5 sec to turn it off
now when i turn it on, the desktop doesnt even load up and the monitor goes blank. i know theres somthing wrong with the video card but just found out that it has an intergrated chipset - 845GL i really dont know where the chipset is located or not even sure if theres anything wrong with it or not! help!! heres more about my pc: HP Pavilion 532w Desktop PC Model number P8633A Base processor and speed Celeron (W) 1.7 GHz / 400 Chipset 845GL Video graphics Integrated into Chipset, No AGP slot Sound and audio AC97 Audio Network interface 10/100BT Integrated on Motherboard |

Hi junaid56 and welcome to Dev Shed.
When you say that the fans turn off, do you mean that no sound comes from your case at all ?

To be honest, I think that either your motherboard or CPU may be going faulty or have failed. Have you tried resetting the CMOS ? This can be done by removing the little battery on the motherboard for a few minutes before replacing. |

i found the battery, i had to remove one of the card things to take it out it was in the way, after putting it back on, hit the power switch, it said that new data, and BIOS loaded up and asked to press f1 to change settings (the blue menu thing) and f2, to resume and continue to windows, i resumed and the windows xp logo thing came up for bout 4 sec and than it happend again..... monitor turned off BUT THIS TIME the fan stayed on with the power light o yeah forgot to mention, it beeped too when i turned it on which didnt happen before, now i know that the internal stuff is fine, i mean the windows tries to load up but somthing stops the video from showing on the monitor which automatically tells the cpu to become idle |
