I have a MSI master 2 and I had everything installed i went to plug the power cord in and the board turned on when i flipped the switch on the back of the power supply. I did some troubleshooting with it and could not figure out why it is doing it. I unhooked everything but the main power to the board but still did it. I checked different power supplies and no luck there either. Is it a bad board or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the bios under i thank it is power settings it is set to start back up after a power failer. If it comes back on after you tell it to shut down from windows then if your running a network card for networking or internet then in the bios its set to wake on lan but if it come on when you plug the power cord it then its set to the first one i said start after a power failer.

In addition to what crazy pointed out, may be a defective power switch. So disconnect the ATX power switch from motherboard and see if has any affect on your problem (if not already done).
I would say most likely what crazy pointed out (auto power on setting in BIOS) so I would start there. |
