Booting problem

I have had a look at an HP Pavillion A420N model which has a serious problem booting up. All it does is boots in BIOS and never gets passed that. I have unplugged every component and tried rebooting but with no luck. Has anyone seen or have experienced this issue?

Reset the BIOS by removeing the battery from the motherboard for about 1 min.

how do u reset the bios i am having a similar problem,the computer is on and everthing is running fine...but i have no picture on the monitor..this leads me to think that its the video card
